Six displaced by fire on Pacific Street

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Red Cross is assisting six people after a fire displaced residents of a Buffalo home.

According to a spokesperson from the Buffalo Fire Department, firefighters responded to a fire at 100 Pacific Street at around 1:30 pm Monday. Fire crews were able to put out the fire quickly, and no neighboring buildings or homes were damaged.

BFD says that the fire may have been caused by a torpedo heater that was allegedly used to thaw pipes in the home, however an exact cause of the blaze has not been determined. The extent of the damage to the home has not been released by BFD at this time…
