The advisory was in place for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
“Apparent temperatures have climbed to levels where bitterly cold wind chills are no longer expected, therefore the Cold Weather Advisory will be allowed to expire,” says the National Weather Service.

If you are in an area with an extreme cold warning, avoid going outside.
