PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A planning commission tabled a decision on a proposed industrial park that would replace the historic Greenville-Pickens Speedway, after hours of public comment from residents opposing the project.
Developers want to transform the speedway into an industrial park with warehouses, restaurants, retail and green space. The investment is nearly $1 billion.
