Michigan State Police free deer stuck in East Grand Rapids fence

The Michigan State Police recently rescued a deer in West Michigan, sharing the moment in a post on social media.

According to the post on X, troopers were called Tuesday morning, Feb. 9, after receiving a report of a deer that had become tangled in a wrought-iron fence in East Grand Rapids.

Sgt. Scott Wehler arrived at the scene shortly after 8 a.m. and found the deer stuck in the fence on a residential property. With help from the homeowner, Wehler was able to carefully free the animal.

Michigan State Police said the deer did not appear to be injured during the incident. After being released, the deer ran off without issue.

No further action was needed, and the deer was able to return safely to the area…
