Man accused of shooting, killing his fiancé and her two teens to appear in court

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The man accused of killing his fiancé and her two teenage sons is back in court on Tuesday morning.

Jacqueline Neill and her two sons, 13-year-old Michael Kilpatrick and 15-year-old Cameron Kilpatrick, 15, were shot and killed in their home on southeast Worden Street on Jan. 27, 2026, just before 8 a.m.

“Jacqueline and Cameron and Michael were an important part of all of our lives, and we’re going to do our best to begin patching up the holes that they left,” Neill’s sister Joanne Elzinga said at a community vigil held for the family.

Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) officers responded after Neill’s fiancé Charles Broomfield called 9-1-1 to tell dispatchers two people broke into his house and killed his fiancé and her two kids…
