Drug Investigation Unravels in Wilmington With Arrest and Large Seizure

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington police say a months-long investigation into alleged drug activity in the city led to the arrest of a New Castle man and the seizure of a wide range of narcotics and cash.

According to authorities, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division had been investigating suspected illegal drug sales in the 900 block of Lombard Street when detectives identified 42-year-old Jabar Fields as a suspect.

Police said the investigation culminated on Wednesday, February 4, when officers conducted a vehicle stop around 3:55 p.m. in the 2900 block of West 4th Street. Fields was taken into custody without incident, authorities said…
