BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Zachary Police Department responded to a shooting that happened at the Gate City Food Mart on Lower Zachary Road on Sunday, Feb. 8.
ZPD said the shooting happened outside of the store around 4:10 p.m. Police confirmed that someone tried to steal a gun from a vehicle, and the owner of that gun was able to get the gun back. ZPD said that the gun owner fired the weapon.
