The classic board game Clue comes to Hancher Auditorium’s stage in style, with a joke every minute. “Clue’s” theatrical production is a twist on the original “who-dunnit,” and turns it into a suspenseful, yet comedic show for all ages.
“This is actually my first time on a national tour, and it’s really nice to be back in Iowa City. My heart’s always bled black and gold,” Nate Curlott, the former Iowa resident who plays Colonel Mustard, said. “To be able to come home and perform professionally in front of people that raised you feels really good.”
In the show, Colonel Mustard is the military colonel with a mustard colored suit, which is one of the many original characters linked to the murder of Mr. Boddy. Others include Mr. Green, a germaphobic businessman, Miss Scarlet, the cunning and cynical femme fatale, Professor Plum, a psychiatrist with a revoked medical license, and many others. All of them sport the colors of their name as a callback to the board game…
