House fire in Montgomery County causes $75K in damage; 1 taken to hospital: Officials

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Two people needed to be evaluated after a house fire in Montgomery County on Monday evening.

In a post on the X platform just before 8:25 p.m. on Feb. 9, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Spokesperson Pete Piringer said that units were in the 18600 block of King Fisher Terrace off of Qual Valley Boulevard for a fire in a single-family home.

At that time, Piringer said that the occupants may be trapped.

In an update just before 9:30 p.m., Piringer said that the occupants got out, but their dogs may have still been inside.
