Fort Collins family out $200K after contractor dispute

DENVER (KDVR) — A Fort Collins Family said a contractor they hired stopped doing house-renovation work after they had paid him more than $200,000.

Nicole Chaves said last fall, her family went online in search of a contractor to redo bedrooms, bathrooms and closets. They chose one particular company based on written reviews.

“Both of our bathrooms needed to be gutted, down to the studs,” said Chaves.
