CORVALLIS, Ore. – A coordinated rescue operation took place Friday morning in the Alsea Falls Recreation Area, successfully saving an injured logger, according to the Corvallis Fire Department.
According to the Oregon Department of Forestry, emergency crews, including the Corvallis Fire Department and Monroe Fire District, responded to a logging accident around 11:35 a.m. on Feb. 6. The logger was injured during active operations in a remote, forested area. The rescue required extensive coordination due to steep terrain and limited access. Multiple agencies and the logging crew worked together to ensure scene safety and provide initial care.
