I don’t know how else to begin except to say this: I am watching the country I have always been proud of fall apart, and I am grieving its loss.
Money and power have become so concentrated, so protected, and so corrupt that they have fractured us beyond recognition. We are divided against one another while a small, wealthy elite benefits from our exhaustion, our fear, and our constant distraction. I am afraid that if we do not stop at this moment—right now—and choose unity over division, we will all deeply regret it…
