COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A woman training to be a South Carolina state corrections officer was arrested for DUI over the weekend, according to authorities.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said 26-year-old Naji Hughes was charged Saturday with driving under the influence as well as leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
RCSD initially identified Hughes as an officer with the South Carolina Department of Corrections. The department, however, clarified to WIS that Hughes was an officer in training with the agency and has since been fired.
