Paid parking on Indian Rocks Beach? Commission to vote on controversial ordinance

INDIAN ROCKS BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — The heated back-and-forth over paid parking takes center stage in Indian Rocks Beach on Tuesday.

City leaders are considering a proposal that require visitors to pay for parking at beach access points. Currently, Indian Rocks Beach is the only municipality in Pinellas County that doesn’t require payment for beach parking.

Lilly Zeller, an employee at Kooky Coconut says, “It’s annoying because it will hurt business. People aren’t going to want to come to the beach as much if they have to pay.”
