SC State House hearing set on bill to remove eviction records after five years

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — A housing advocate is calling for people to testify at an upcoming subcommittee hearing at the South Carolina State House.

The hearing scheduled for Tuesday is about legislation that would remove eviction records after five years.

Lasenta Lewis Ellis asked for individuals willing to speak about the challenges eviction filings can create when families try to find safe, stable, and affordable housing in a Facebook post.
