Daring Southern Indiana Rescue Has a Happy Ending

I haven’t spoken to a soul during the last few days who isn’t fed up with seeing snow on the ground every time they look out the window. You can count me among them.

Thankfully, as I write this, my phone says it’s 47 degrees, and the sun is shining. I’ll take all of that Mother Nature has to give, and then some. I’m sure the driver of a vehicle that drove into an icy lake over the weekend in Warrick County, Indiana, feels the same way. They probably feel a lot of ways after being pulled safely from the partially submerged vehicle.

Late Saturday night, shortly after 11:30 PM, the motorist entered the small body of water and was later assessed by medical crews after the rescue. The Ohio Township Fire Department was on the scene and had removed the driver just before midnight.

Thanks to Tri-State Towing and Recovery, Warrick County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch, the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office, and Ascension St. Vincent Warrick EMS (who examined the driver), Ohio Township FD was able to complete the rescue and clear the scene shortly after 1 AM Sunday…
