Family pets rescued, given oxygen after Cameron house fire

Two pets were rescued by firefighters after a fire left a home heavily damaged Monday night, according to the Crains Creek Fire Department.

Crews were dispatched around 8:43 p.m. to Heritage Way, just over the Harnett County line, where they found an active fire overtaking the home.

Firefighters conducted primary and secondary searches and located a dog and a small cat inside. Both animals were removed from the home, given oxygen, and found to be stable…
