The 5-0 vote concludes a multi-meeting review process that included a Planning Commission recommendation and robust community engagement focusing heavily on local infrastructure impacts.
Stephen Found, representing property owners Leonard and Lori Peters, had applied for the special use permit for the 152.624-acre property, which is zoned A1 (Agriculture). Event venues are a special permit use in the A1 zoning district. The applicant’s vision for Eden Ridge is to preserve the rural landscape, prevent subdivision, and provide future income for the Peters family through small, limited events.
