Man sentenced to prison for shooting four outside baby’s birthday party at Central NY fire hall

Geddes, N.Y. – A man who shot four people outside a birthday party at a Geddes fire hall this summer was sentenced to 12 years in prison Tuesday.

Wilfredo Lopez-Ramos, 39, opened fire on a group of a dozen people in the parking lot of the Lakeside Fire Department Recreation Hall at 1002 State Fair Blvd. just after 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 29, prosecutors said.

Lopez-Ramos accepted a plea deal in December for first-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment charges. Prosecutors said he took responsibility for the shootings…
