BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said K9 Oti officially retired after years of service.
Prior to retiring, he had one last successful track. His final call was a crash on Brick Landing Road. Oti picked up the scent from a shoe found on the driver’s floorboard and using the absorption method with a gauze pad taken from the gear shifter.
Oti tracked behind two houses, over large brush piles, and through mud making his way to a church parking lot. Oti pulled harder and the suspect turned the corner…
