Breathing life into the old, this new Lubbock antique shop is turning heads with its name, layout and offerings.
Dead People’s Stuff, 4012 34th St., opened in January with an idea of doing something different. Shoppers won’t find shelves lined with jumbled wares, instead every item is carefully placed in a manner one would at home.
What is Dead People’s Stuff?
The name was chosen because it had a bit of an edge, and connects to where some of the items come from. Items can come from a mix of places, including estate sales, road trips, garage sales and donated items.
“It didn’t sound like you were getting stuff out of your grandma’s attic,” said A. Kim Cronk, store proprietor. “I wanted a name that, even if you weren’t sure what we had, it would pique your curiosity.”…
