TxDOT rail repairs slated for South Loop flyover

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation announced plans for repairs to the concrete rail on the South Loop 289 flyover connection to northbound I-27.

The repairs are set for Wednesday, Feb. 11 and Thursday, Feb. 12, with work scheduled for after the morning rush hour on both days. The flyover will be closed to allow crews to complete their work safely. The inside lane of eastbound Loop 289 will also be closed. Traffic from the flyover will be detoured to the frontage road. Additionally, the cloverleaf ramp to the I-27 frontage road or the 82nd Street turnaround can be used to reach northbound I-27.
