Madison’s Housing Snapshot Report highlights progress and challenges

MADISON, Wis. — In its latest 2025 Housing Snapshot Report, Madison is improving on producing more housing but demand still outpaces newer houses being built, as land and construction costs continue to rise.

Those factors continue to limit housing choices across Madison, especially for low-income households.
