Former Alabama All-American Bud Cauley will receive the Ben Hogan Award at the Golf Writers Association of America’s annual awards dinner on April 8 in Augusta, Georgia.
The GWAA has presented the Ben Hogan Award annually since 1954 to “an individual who has continued to be active in golf despite a physical handicap or serious illness.”
Cauley missed more than three years of play on the PGA Tour before resuming his career on a medical exemption. The PGA Tour granted him 27 tournaments to earn enough FedEx Cup points to regain his playing card and continue as a PGA Tour member…
