Passengers traveling from Boston to Aruba on Monday were held on the plane for over two hours due to a reported security issue.

According to local Boston outlet WCVB NewsCenter 5, who spoke to a passenger on board, a security concern involving JetBlue flight 473 occurred on Monday, Feb. 9 at Queen Beatrix International Airport in Aruba. The airport was shut down for multiple hours due to the “security-related situation,” a statement shared to Queen Beatrix International Airport’s official Instagram account read.

A passenger who traveled on the JetBlue flight from Boston told the outlet that they had to stay on the plane for nearly two hours after they landed. Passengers then had their passports checked by officials and a K9 unit inspected their bags as they were allowed to exit the plane row-by-row, the outlet reports…
