Michael O. Beers, 39, of Fort Wayne, was sentenced to over 15 years in prison on February 4 for drug and firearm charges, United States Attorney Adam L. Mildred announced.
Beers pleaded guilty to possessing over 400 grams of fentanyl with intent to distribute, possessing a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He will also serve five years of supervised release following his prison term.
In October 2024, police found Beers unconscious in a running car at a gas station. Officers discovered a loaded handgun on his hip and large amounts of heroin and fentanyl in the car. The fentanyl was intended for sale, posing a significant risk to the community…
