As she approached the vehicle, she discovered it was occupied by four subjects, two adults (male and female) and two small children who were unsecured in the back seat. The driver identified himself as Antonio Aguilar Barrios and informed the officer his license was suspended and he was on probation. This was confirmed.

During a probation search, a box of ammunition was found inside a satchel Aguilar Barrios had been wearing. Initial inquiries of both adults regarding a possible firearm in the vehicle were denied. At this time, it is unknown how the firearm came into possession. Both adults were arrested and charged with carrying a concealed, loaded firearm in a vehicle.
