Man accused of 2022 Butler Twp. murders still unfit for trial

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A man accused of killing four people in 2022 in Butler Twp., who was deemed incompetent to stand trial, will continue to receive treatment at Summit Behavioral Healthcare, a criminal hospital in Cincinnati.

The man, Steven Marlow, allegedly entered two homes on Aug. 5, 2022, on Hardwicke Place and shot four people:

  • 82-year-old Clyde Knox
  • 78-year-old Eva Knox
  • 41-year-old Sarah Anderson
  • 15-year-old Kayla Anderson

He then allegedly fled the scene. If brought to trial, Marlow could face the death penalty.

Marlow’s delusional disorder is why he is currently being treated at Summit. Before the shooting, Marlow wrote a manifesto riddled with conspiracy theories and claimed his neighbors were ‘terrorists engaged in the mind control of others’…
