GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The man accused of killing his fiancée and her two sons in Grand Rapids late last month will undergo a competency evaluation.
Charles Broomfield, 44, is charged with first-degree premeditated murder and felony firearm in the Jan. 27 deaths of 40-year-old Jacqueline Neill and her sons, 15-year-old Cameron Kilpatrick and 13-year-old Michael Kilpatrick.

Broomfield appeared in court Tuesday morning. His attorney, Kurt Oberholtzer, requested the competency evaluation.
