Gang member convicted in mistaken-identity murder of N.J. man out for walk with friend

An Essex County man has been found guilty of murdering an innocent man in retaliation for a shooting that wounded a gang member years earlier.

A jury found David Parker, 23, of Irvington, guilty on Thursday of first-degree murder in the death of Prince Sweeney, 35, of East Orange, on Aug. 9, 2021.
