A Maine snowbird in a golf cart was arrested on a drunk driving charge in The Villages.
Rodney Daniel Jordan, 70, of Stratton, Maine, was driving a white Yamaha golf cart at about 9:30 p.m. Monday on the golf cart path near the entrance to the Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter when the golf cart’s illuminated blue lights along both side of the bottom exterior of the golf cart attracted the attention of a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy.
During a traffic stop, Jordan admitted he had consumed “two vodka and crans” during dinner about 30 minutes earlier, according to the arrest report.
