Philadelphia Relaunches Family Campaign for Tax Credits

Mayor Cherelle Parker and Philadelphia’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity (CEO) have officially relaunched the “Claim Your Money PHL” initiative to return money to Philadelphia through tax credits.

The campaign centers on the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC) to maximize refunds for eligible residents and offset rising living costs.

According to Orlando Rendon, executive director of the CEO, the EITC can help Philadelphians receive an average refund of $2,743, with amounts as high as $8,046. Meanwhile, the CTC can allow parents and guardians to receive a refund of up to $2,200 per child younger than 17…
