City of Rochester addresses concerns about dogs left outside in cold weather

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — As temperatures dipped below zero over the weekend, concerns about dogs left outside in the cold spiked.

The group Passion in Action Advocates for Rochester’s Animals shared photos and video taken Saturday at a home on Orange Street. Police responded to the home after several 911 calls were made from people concerned about the dogs there.

One dog was turned over to Humane Society of Greater Rochester investigators and taken to be evaluated for exposure to the extreme cold. Police said the other dogs were brought inside the home…
