Two upstate utility companies are warning residents about a recent increase in scams.
New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas & Electric (RG&E), which are both part of Avangrid, say that while scams happen all year round, they’ve noted more aggressive tactics being used recently.
