After 18 consecutive days without reaching 32 degrees, Syracuse, as expected, has finally reached that number!
We have a weather system that will move across our area early this evening. Expect a combination of wintry weather as rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow are all possible. With borderline temperatures, any place that is above 32 degrees will see very little issues as anything that falls should be wet. However, there are still some areas stuck in the upper 20s especially near and north of the Thruway from Onondaga county and points north and east. Be aware that some localized icing is possible this evening on untreated surfaces like driveways, sidewalks, parking lots and roads!
Thereafter, there should be a break in the action for a large chunk of the night before some very light snow redevelops before sunrise…
