Speed Expected to Define This Weekend’s Indiana Girls’ State Champs (Psych Sheets)

One of the fastest high school meets in the country will be held this weekend when the Indiana Girls’ State Championships take place at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis. Last weekend featured the state’s Sectional competitions and a slew of quick times were produced across the Hoosier State. Action in Indy will be headlined by Carmel High School’s pursuit of a 40th consecutive team title.

The Greyhounds’ streak of 39 straight state championships is the longest in the nation, and the longest of any sport contested at the high school level. Coach Chris Plumb’s squad will bring a mixture of power and depth to Indianapolis, led by Tennessee recruit Molly Sweeney and sophomore Ellie Clarke
