Tip leads Richmond police on chase involving man in body armor

RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) — Richmond police said a tip from a community member led officers to a man who was believed to be armed and wearing body armor.

According to officials, around 11:30 Monday morning, police received information about a man who was considered a possible threat to himself or others.

Officers attempted to pull him over, but he refused to stop, leading to a pursuit through the area of Anaheim Boulevard and the Eastern Bypass.

Richmond Police said the suspect was wearing body armor and was presumed to be armed, possibly with a knife. During the pursuit, investigators say the man attempted to ram police vehicles, damaging his own car and popping one of his tires in the process…
