BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An elementary school in Baton Rouge was closed on Monday, Feb. 9, due to a high percentage of students, faculty, and staff being sick.
Sacred Heart of Jesus School sent a note to parents and guardians on Sunday, Feb. 8, in which they said that they “currently have over 40% of our student body either sick or unsure if they will be well enough to attend school.” In addition, 41% of faculty and staff are either caring for a sick child or sick themselves.
