Texas’ declining brewery scene has been hit with another closure. Fort Worth’s Panther Island Brewing at 501 N Main St. is permanently closing Friday after more than a decade in business.
Raising a toast to its 11-year run, Panther Island Brewing is throwing a farewell party on Feb. 13 and “going out the way we came in—surrounded by good people, cold beer, and the Fort Worth community that made this place what it is.”
“We’re endlessly proud of the beers we brewed, the stories we shared, and the people who made it all meaningful,” Panther Island Brewing’s statement on Instagram read. “To everyone who worked with us, the artists and musicians who filled our space with life, the fellow brewers who inspired us, and the incredible Fort Worth community who supported us from day one… thank you. You’ve made Panther Island Brewing more than a business, you made it a family.”…
