New cupcakes, seating changes, and a food truck closure in Eugene

Eugene’s restaurant scene keeps moving and grooving. This week, a new cupcake business is launching in town, bringing 49 flavors and tons of fun to those with a sweet tooth. A fan favorite pizza spot is rethinking its interiors, with new seating arrangements and thoughtful additions making the space more accessible and pleasant for customers.

Also, a Eugene foodie staple is closing its doors at the end of February. Brian Pruett of Nosh Shop is stepping back from the business after close to seven years at the helm.

Osteria DOP refreshes its interiors

Rocky Maselli opened his fast casual pizza restaurant, Osteria DOP, in 2023. After three years of business, he’s ready to upgrade its space.

“Working with the space, the original design had a lot of counter seating,” Maselli said. “Which is typical of a restaurant like this in Europe, but I think is kind of hard in a town like Eugene. One of our biggest complaints is the seating arrangements.”…
