Attempted murder charges filed for man accused of intentionally running into 4 outside Safeway

TRUCKEE, California (KOLO) – A man accused of intentionally crashing into four people outside a Safeway in Truckee has now been charged with attempted murder.

Jonathan Maurer was initially charged with assault with a deadly weapon likely to produce great bodily injury in connection with the Feb. 7 incident.

The four people injured were selling members of the Tahoe Titans baseball team and were selling beef jerky outside the Safeway to pay for a trip to Cooperstown All Star Village in New York…
