Wild Wild West Con Set for “Grand Finale” in March

We have sad news from Arizona, as the organizers of the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention (WWWC) announced this week that the 14th gathering, scheduled for March 19-22 in Tucson, will be the last.

“We do want to be clear that there was no single event or reason that brought us to this decision,” stated WWWC owners Jason and Deena Jo Drotman in a Feb. 9 Facebook post. “It’s a recognition that the level of care, time, and real effort this convention deserves is no longer something we can sustainably carry year after year. And because we respect what WWWC is, and what it means to people, we’re choosing to end it intentionally, with pride, and with our hearts still in it.”

They stressed that it won’t be a “quiet goodbye.”…
