PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A recently released ranking of the best places to live in the western United States names several Pacific Northwest locations, with one Portland-area city earning high marks for its charming downtown and access to nature.
Livability, a company that creates marketing programs for cities across the U.S. — released their rankings in late January — naming 25 of the best places to live in the West.
“Known for its rich heritage of pioneers and rough-and-tumble adventurers, the West is teeming with breathtaking landscapes, unparalleled beauty and iconic bucket list destinations. It’s also home to some of the most innovative minds in the country and a remarkable number of cities that regularly top the charts on best places to live. This combination understandably makes the West an irresistible draw to people interested in everything from rustic outdoor adventures to modern convenience and amenities,” Livability wrote.
