AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Homeowners facing construction defects in newly built homes have free options through state agencies that can force builders and warranty companies to take action.

The Residential Builders Commission has the second-highest number of complaints of any licensing board in South Carolina, according to state records. Many homeowners don’t know about two state agencies designed to help them at no cost.
