CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland police have arrested a 20-year-old Garfield Heights man in connection with the fatal shooting of a rideshare driver Sunday, Feb. 8, on the city’s east side.
It was the first of two fatal shootings involving Lyft drivers in Cleveland in three days. Police said Wednesday they don’t have any evidence suggesting the two shootings are linked.
“Our detectives worked diligently around the clock to gather evidence, conduct interviews, and thoroughly review all aspect of these cases,” Police Chief Dorothy Todd is quoted in the release.
