Deputy-involved shooting leaves suspect dead early Wednesday morning: CCSO

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) — The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference Wednesday morning, giving additional details on an overnight deputy-involved shooting that left one person dead.

According to Sheriff Carl Ritchie, deputies initially responded to the scene just after 9 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired in the 2900 block of Edenborough Road on Johns Island.
