UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH — Bialy’s Bagels, the long-standing University Heights institution known for its traditional New York-style bagels, announced it is closing temporarily following a facility accident. The shop, located on Warrensville Center Road, will not be serving its usual crowds on Wednesday, Feb. 11, due to a gas line failure.
According to a video statement released by the owners on the Bialy’s Bagels Facebook page, the issue began when an awning from an adjacent business fell. The collapse did not just cause a mess: It directly struck and damaged the bakery’s gas lines.
