Two Ohio asphalt companies have agreed to pay $30 million to settle allegations they submitted fraudulent tests to the Ohio Department of Transportation over the past decade.
Kokosing Materials, which has locations throughout Ohio, and Barrett Paving Materials, based in Hamilton, are accused of submitting the same mixture tests results over and over again instead of conducting new tests, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio.
