Man accused of stabbing deputy indicted on new charges

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) – The man who allegedly stabbed a Butler County Sheriff’s deputy has been indicted on additional charges.

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, a Butler County Grand Jury indicted Phillip Lovely on six charges:

  • One count attempted aggravated murder
  • One count felonious assault with a deadly weapon
  • One count felonious assault causing serious physical harm
  • One count arson
  • Two counts inducing panic

Lovely, 41, was originally facing one count each of attempted aggravated murder on a law enforcement officer, felonious assault and arson.
