On Tuesday night, new developments in the ongoing debate over the future of the Erie ICE detention center are expected to start.
The former Erie County government established a lease with the U.S. Marshals Service to give ICE detainees housing at the Erie County Prison.
Erie County Sheriff’s Office hosting pop-up concealed carry event
The new county council is introducing an ordinance to suspend that lease.
However, for the ordinance to be passed into law, it is required to offer two public readings prior to the vote, which is scheduled to happen on February 26.
